The South Asian Conference on Sustainability & Climate Justice, 2026 is an international virtual conference organised by the Community for Academic Research and Development (CARD) in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Conference provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, policymakers, legal professionals, researchers, government officials, environmental experts, industry professionals, students, civil society organisations and international institutions to deliberate upon contemporary issues concerning sustainability, climate governance and environmental justice.

About the Conference

Climate change represents one of the most significant challenges confronting humanity. Rising temperatures, biodiversity degradation, environmental pollution, resource depletion, water scarcity and increasing climate-induced disasters demand collaborative regional and international responses. Recognising these pressing challenges, the South Asian Conference on Sustainability & Climate Justice, 2026 seeks to facilitate meaningful academic dialogue, policy discussions and interdisciplinary research on sustainability and climate governance.
